Best Fitness Influencers of 2023!

Share

On this week’s blog we dive into the world of “fitness influencers” and the difference between them. In today’s day and age, it is easy to call yourself an influencer. All you need is a cellphone with a few apps on it and you can start talking on the internet about how you really know your stuff. It is also easy to gain a following considering half of the people on the internet do not really know anything about working out. However, many of the influencers with a lot of following do tend to put out helpful content for those looking to learn. We are going to talk about some of those people on this blog. So, a lot of the influencers have transitioned to TikTok because it is a little bit easier to get noticed due to the algorithm on the app. We’ll go through a few today, mainly ones that talk about different topics in fitness. So, one of the influencers mentioned will be someone who talks about just getting stronger as a whole, another one will be about just bodybuilding and looking as good as you can, and another is one that usually talks about healthy diets. Also, I understand there are not just guys who read these things so I will also throw in a woman influencer as well.

For this first category of bodybuilding, I decided to go with two people just because believe both are positive role models in the industry and deserve to be mentioned. Those two names are Joey Swoll, and Bradley Martin. Bradley Martin has a whopping 4.2 fitness minded followers, and he might be one of the most popular on this list. After all, he has been in the fitness game for as long as I can remember. Joey Swoll has less of a following as he is new in the community, but he is one of my favorites just because of all the positivity he attempts to spread in the gym. He considers himself the “CEO of gym positivity” as he mainly tries to eliminate all toxicity in gym culture. Both guys always show off intense workouts that may be hard to complete, but also will get you where you want to be. They also both demonstrate proper form so that you can help injury prevention. Both have a similar philosophy in that they both preach hard work, dedication, and consistency to reach your gym goals. Outside of just their fitness videos both guys talk a lot about mental health and attempt to help people stay focused and not lose motivation throughout the rigorous gym journey. Both offer to build specific training programs to anyone who buys their content on their respective websites. If you buy their memberships even outside of the gym, they offer meal plans and healthy lifestyle tips specific to your needs. Joey Swoll preaches effective training which is highly individual. It depends on your experience level, goal, body type, and the way you respond to different training stimuli. Bradley Martin preaches that no other program offers such an affordable and effective training platform that makes nutrition, training, and overall fitness so easily accessible and life-changing. I will keep links to both of their websites here just in case you want to go on ahead and check them out for yourselves. Personally, I cannot judge on which one I would rather choose. All I know is that when it comes to bodybuilding influencers, these guys are both premier.

Next on the list is a guy by the name of Jeff Nippard. This guy may not be the most famous, but I put him in his own category because of the slight differences there are in his training program. Unlike Bradley Martin and Joey Swoll, this guy mainly focuses on just getting stronger and not simply just looking the best. (He also does have 2 million subscribers on YouTube) so yes he is famous. This guy focuses more on the science and actual studies on how to be as strong and as fit as you can be. Some of his achievements are: Bachelor of Science Degree, Major in Biochemistry, Mr. Junior Canada for Natural Bodybuilding (2012), Overall Champion WNBF Natural Muscle Mayhem (2014), Canadian National Powerlifting championships 2014: 502 lb squat, 336 lb bench press, 518 lb deadlift. Which are extremely formidable. On his website he also offers a quiz that you can take where you can put your goals and he can make a program specifically designed for reaching just your goals. Influencers like this rely on science and actual studies to get progress in themselves in clients. Personally, if there was any one of these influencers who I would personally follow, it would be Jeff Nippard. He is also all natural which people may question if the other guys are. This is an important aspect mainly because if you compare yourself to guys who take supplements you will most likely get discouraged because you do not think you are making any progress toward your goal even though you are.He even has his own personal blog which I enjoy reading from time to time in order to get some tips and tricks in my own fitness journey. For the meal aspect an influencer that is awesome is Rene Awada. She runs the Instagram account Healthyfitnessmeals and it has a total of 3.4 million followers. People call her the “CEO of healthy meals.” She is also a mom of 5, so a lot of her recipes can even feed you and all of your friends. Her main goal is to take the boredom out of healthy meals. After all she knows best with having 5 kids. Rena has worked with many house-hold name brands like ABC, Blue Apron, Flip Belt, Campbell’s, Lipton, and V8, to name a few. She even has her own website that you can look at which will tell you more about herself and more about her meals. To go along with this the videos she posts on social media are even fun to watch. She knows how to keep preparing meals and eating meals that are not boring. Here is a link to her website:

About

Now about the Woman fitness influencers, there are a few that will help you stay focused on your goals. A few of these names are Sommer Ray, Jena Frumes, and Katie Crewe just to name a couple. The thing I noticed with most of the women fitness influencers is a lot of their goals are relatively similar in the way they want to look. To be fair though who am I to say, I genuinely am not sure about the woman influencer side of the fitness world. However, many of them are considered to be almost A-list celebrities and will show you specific workouts to help you look like them if that is your end goal.
