Sapphire Beach Club Resort is located in the beautiful Sint Maarten. Sapphire is in the perfect location being so close to so many beautiful beaches and delicious restaurants. Everything you need is within walking distance, where you get to enjoy the views of the island in the gorgeous sunny weather. Just down the road you will find Jordan Village where there are many delicious restaurants and conveniently located markets. In the other direction, you will find Port Cupecoy which also has great restaurants, markets, and shopping. Sapphire has many things to offer while staying at the resort; and that’s what we’re here to talk about!
In House Activities:
Monday: Start your week off right at the pool for aquagym, a water aerobics class, from 9:30-10:15 am. Listen to the top hits of the year while doing some simple aerobics in the pool. This is perfect for anyone and a good way to get active around the hotel. Monday nights start off with a wine and cheese welcome party/live music from 6-7 pm, where you get your choice of a few wines with cheese and crackers that are so yummy. Later calls for a karaoke party. Karaoke takes place by the pool and bar from 7-10 pm, where everyone sings their hearts out to their favorite artists. This is one of my favorite activities that Sapphire offers. It’s a good way to get to know other people that are staying here and make some friends around the hotel. Enjoy a nice drink, get some liquid courage, and sing at the top of your lungs.
Wednesday: Every Wednesday there is bingo night down by the pool from 4:30-5:30 pm. Enjoy some drinks and dinner, and hope to get the lucky bingo card. Everyone loves bingo right? And what’s better than playing a fun game with the best view of the ocean? Nothing.
Thursday: Thursday morning also offers aquagym down at the pool form 9:30-10:15 am. Barbecue and live music with Ricki every Thursday from 5-8 pm. Don’t worry about what you’re going to eat for dinner on Thursdays because you don’t want to miss out on the delicious barbecue. The live music is also something you don’t want to miss out on. It’s the perfect way to end a fun Thursday night.
Friday: Tired from the week? Enjoy some relaxing live music down by the pool from 6:30-8 pm while you enjoy dinner. I love ordering a cheeseburger from the bar and listening to the live music while chatting with my friends. It’s such a great and relaxing way to end the night and week.
Pool & Bar
One of my favorite parts of Sapphire is the pool and the bar! It is so nice to lay around the pool, grab a drink or food, and swim. There is nothing better than relaxing by the pool with a good book having no worries in the world, other than the potential sunburn you may get. I could stay at the pool all day long.The best thing to do is lay out for a while and get really hot from the sun and then taking a dip into the pool. It is always the best and most refreshing feeling in the world. Happy hour is twice a day, one during the afternoon and one at night. While you’re enjoying time at the pool, don’t forget to stop by the bar and order your favorite drinks! It’s always exciting getting two for one. The bar also offers a wide variety of delicious foods, from cheeseburgers to pastas. You can find something for anyone for not a lot of money, which is always great. Sapphire is perfect for any age and any trip for these reasons.
Happy Hour
Get your day started off right with Happy Hour at the seaside restaurant at Sapphire Beach Club. From 12:00PM-1:00PM or 5:00PM-6:00PM everyday, you can enjoy cocktails and beers for affordable prices. Get two mixed drinks of your choosing for just $6.00, around half the price of just one mixed drink at most places in Sint Maarten. Some of our favorite mixed drinks at the poolside bar are the Blue Lagoon, Pineapple and Coconut Rum, Margarita, and Tequila Sunrise. You can also choose to have your drinks served frozen or on the rocks. For beers during happy hour, you can purchase any two beers for $4 dollars. The beers to choose from include Miller Lite, Presidente, Heineken, Corona, Carib (the Caribbean beer), and Coors Light. On draft the poolside bar offers SXM Beer and SXM IPA High Hipness.
Beach & Beachfront Villas
One of the absolute best things about Sapphire Beach Club is the easy access to the beach. You can walk out of your room and down a few steps, and there the beach is. Whether you’re staying in the hotel rooms or the private villas, the beach is the easiest place to get. The beach has the most clear and blue water that I have ever seen and the current is not usually too rough. This beach is very relaxed and secluded, so you will have your own space and can be at peace. It looks like something you’d only see in a movie. The beach is perfect at all hours of the day, and you can be there in the afternoon all day or spend the evening there with friends and family. Also, the beach makes for wonderful sunset pictures.
Overall, Sapphire Beach Club has an amazing assortment of amenities to suit everyone’s interests. The heart of the ocean, another name for Sapphire Beach Club, is the perfect landing place after a nice meal at a nearby restaurant, a busy day shopping, or a long day at the beach. With weekly events, beach access, the luxurious pool, and happy hour, anyone is sure to have an incredible time while staying at Sapphire Beach Club. There are regular studio style condos but also luxurious villas for guests that want to have more privacy and space. No matter what you prefer, Sapphire Beach Club has that for you.
