Lions vs. Packers
NFL Score Predictions: Lions (28-10)
Key Players: Jahmyr Gibbs, Aidan Hutchinson, Brian Branch
Starting off with Thursday night football, we have a Lions vs. Packers matchup. Former Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs has been crucial to the Lion’s offense. Averaging 4.5 yards per carry, Gibbs has received more play time and responsibility following David Montgomery’s thigh injury. Coming off a 20-6 win over the Atlanta Falcons, rookie Brian Branch has been making an impact since his very first snap against reigning champs, Kansas City Chiefs. The Lions also have one of the league’s best edge rushers in Aidan Hutchinson. It will be interesting to see Hutchinson get to the Packers’ relatively inexperienced quarterback, Jordan Love, in this Lions vs. Packers Thursday Night Football matchup.
Atlanta Falcons vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
NFL Score Predictions: Falcons (21-10)
Key Players: Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts, Drake London
The London Showdown between the Falcons and Jaguars will be a fun one. Former Falcon and current Jaguar wide receiver Calvin Ridley will be able to face off against his drafting team for the first time. The Falcons have a seemingly reconstructed offense that will be too much for the Jaguars defense that just allowed nearly 40 points from the Houston Texans. Although Trevor Lawrence will have a better game than Desmond Ridder, it will not be enough to carry a whole team. The Jaguars will succumb to team difficulties and international big-game pressure.
Minnesota Vikings vs. Carolina Panthers
NFL Score Predictions: Vikings (24-10)
Key Players: Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, Danielle Hunter
With both teams struggling and seeking their first wins of the season, the Vikings vs. Panthers will not be a heavily talked about game leading up. Pro-bowler Justin Jefferson will make things happen for himself and the offense against the Panther defense. Jordan Addison will be able to find Jefferson for big-time connections. With rookie quarterback and number one draft pick Bryce Young out for the Carolina Panthers vs. Seattle Seahawks, it is still questionable if he will return.
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Tennessee Titans
NFL Score Predictions: Titans (27-24)
Key Players: Derrick Henry, Ryan Tannehill, DeAndre Hopkins
Undoubtedly, the Cincinnati Bengals are a very talented team, with former LSU teammates Joe Burrow and Jamarr Chase leading the offense. Unfortunately for them, the highly touted quarterback is still recovering from a calf injury and still not 100%. The defensive line of the Titans will take advantage of this setback. Derrick Henry running the ball will make great numbers casually running over defenders like normal.
Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills
NFL Score Predictions: Dolphins (35-14)
Key Players: Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Tua Tagovailoa
Coming off a major win (70-20) against the Broncos, the Dolphin’s offense is hot and has been all season. Two words to describe this team: pure chemistry. One of the scariest parts about this win is they did it without star wide receiver and Alabama alum Jaylen Waddle due to concussion protocol. Although the offense mounted by Alabama alum Tua Tagovailoa and West Alabama alum Tyreek Hill are glamorized, the defense is arguably one of the best. This offense will be too much to contain for the Bills’ defense. Contingent on Jalen Ramsey’s health, this will be an exciting matchup for Stephon Diggs and the Bills’ offense.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Cleveland Browns
NFL Score Predictions: Ravens (21-20)
Key Players: Lamar Jackson, Marlon Humphrey, Zay Flowers
With Lamar Jackson missing one of his star receivers Odell Beckham Jr., due to injury, he is only down to one reliable receiver, rookie Zay Flowers, who has been targeted ten times in two out of three games. One of the leaders of the Ravens defense, lockdown corner, and multiple-time pro-bowler Marlon Humphrey will have his hands full with Browns star receiver and former college teammate Amari Cooper.
Washington Commanders vs. Philadelphia Eagles
NFL Score Predictions: Eagles (42-3)
Key Players: Jalen Hurts, AJ Brown, Devonta Smith,
It is no shock that our NFL pick today for Commanders vs. Eagles is the Philadelphia Eagles. The chemistry between former Alabama players Jalen Hurts and Devonta Smith is too much to defend. Adding A.J. Brown to the mix is a traumatizing trio. The Eagles offensive line will have a test with Commanders Daron Payne and Johnathon Allen but will ultimately show up. Sam Howell will continue to struggle, considering the Eagles have one of the most talked-about defenses. Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis will have an enjoyable night breaking through the Commander’s offensive line.
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Houston Texans
NFL Score Predictions: Steelers (30-10)
Key Players: Najee Harris, George Pickens, T.J. Watt
Texans vs. Steelers will be a close one, but the Steelers will walk away with the win, despite Texans rookie quarterback C.J Stroud having a fantastic start to the season. Against the Jaguars, Stroud reached 906 passing yards, which is the third most in history for a quarterback over the first three games. George Pickens, being the young stud that he is, will have a mismatch vs. any defensive back the Texans decide to throw at him if the Steelers offensive line who have struggled earlier in the year, can give their quarterback, Kenny Pickett, time to deliver him the ball. Also, the offensive line must give running back Najee Harris the blocks he needs to hit the hole and break free. On the defensive side of the ball, TJ Watt, being arguably the best defensive player in the game, will give the Texans offensive line the same problems that he gives to every opposing team, holding them out of the endzone.
New England Patriots vs. Dallas Cowboys
NFL Score Predictions: Cowboys (24-17)
Key Players: Deuce Vaughn, Micah Parsons, Dak Prescott
It is no secret that Bill Belichick’s Patriots have not been the same since the departure of seven-time Super Bowl champ Tom Brady. The game for this Saturday will not be different. Micah Parson will record at least two sacks on Mac Jones. Deuce Vaughn’s ability to quickly shift will be pivotal in his performance against the Patriots. In the loss against the Cardinals, Dak Prescott threw his first interception of the season in the red zone on a critical play. There will be an interception in this game, but it will also be a big-time passing game for him.
Chiefs vs. Jets
NFL Score Predictions: Chiefs (35-10)
Key Players: Patrick Mahomes, Creed Humphrey, Kadarius Toney
The reigning champs were shaken up during its season opener against the Detroit Lions but seem to have regained composure and control, especially with the return of star tight end Travis Kelce. The tragic loss of Aaron Rodgers in the season opener for the Jets will linger throughout the season, especially in this game. Zach Wilson will face pressure from the Chiefs defense. The Jets will use this as an actual test of his abilities. Wide receiver and Alabama native Kadarius Toney will make his mark across the Jets’ secondary. Look for him as Patrick Mahomes unleashes major downfield throws. It will be nice to see who Sauce Gardner is matched up to in this game. Wide receiver Garrett Wilson will pose a threat to the Chiefs’ secondary but ultimately will not be enough to take the champs down.
