Honoring the Presley’s and Holiday’s: Christmas at Graceland

As the holiday season approaches, the enchanting atmosphere of Christmas at Graceland, the iconic home of Elvis Presley, captivates visitors from around the world. Graceland transforms into a winter wonderland, offering a unique and unforgettable holiday experience. In this blog, we’ll celebrate the iconic performances of Christmas at Graceland 2023 

Concerts and Performances: 

Christmas at Graceland is not just about the decorations and tours; it’s also a time for live performances and concerts.  

  1. Post Malone 

Post Malone is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer who has left an indelible mark on the music industry with his unique blend of hip-hop, pop, and rock influences. 

Beyond his musical prowess, Post Malone is known for his charismatic stage presence and tattoo-covered appearance, contributing to his unique persona in the contemporary music landscape. 

Post has performed Elvis covers in the past. He recently also confirmed that he will be releasing a country album after his iconic performance with Morgan Wallen and HARDY at CMA Fest.  

That said, Post Malone honored Elvis, one of the artists most known for blending genres, by performing “(You’re the) Devil in Disguise”. At the end of the performance, he jumped into Elvis’s famous pool outside of Graceland.

The War and Treaty, a dynamic musical duo, consists of married couple Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Blount-Trotter. The couple’s collective talent and emotional performances have garnered widespread acclaim.  

With roots in gospel, soul, and Americana, the duo brings a refreshing and genre-defying sound to the music scene.  

Their lyrics often touch on themes of love, resilience, and social justice, reflecting their personal experiences and commitment to making a positive impact through their art.  

Their musical prowess and storytelling abilities cemented The War and Treaty as a compelling force in contemporary American music. 

It is commonly known that much of Elvis’s upbringing and inspiration stemmed from Southern gospel music, similar to The War and Treaty.  

Elvis’s performance of “If I Can Dream” shocked the nation as a powerful statement on civil rights and equality. The power behind The War and Treaty served as a perfect revival of this exemplary song.

Instead of performing an Elvis song, Legend performed the song “Merry Christmas (War is Over)”.
