The talk of television for the past month has been the show Squid Game. This show has really taken the world by storm since it was released on Netflix a little over a month ago. The main plot of the show is that financially desperate adults compete in children’s games and if they lose, they die. It actually turned out to be a pretty good show. I just finished the show as I am writing this blog as I wanted to understand what the show was all about. My short analysis of the show is that it was good. The show gave me the quality content I needed.
Now since the show has gone viral and become a top 5 show, people have been trying to recreate the show or create merchandise for the show. Norwegian developer, Dani, created a game called Crab Game that is based on the Korean television show. People have enjoyed the game’s ability to feel like an old Xbox game.The microphones are said to sound like they are coming through a megaphone. People are also enjoying Crab Game more because of the lack of gorey details. While you may be able to take a baseball bat and fling someone across the room, you are going to see their skull and brains blasted across the floor. This is refreshing as someone who just finished the show. I think I will be good at watching gorey television.
Crab Game fortunately seems like a more civilized version of the game. Outside of the crazy video chats you will probably hear while playing, you should have a good time to be honest. So if you have a free minute and need a new game to play check out Crab Game on Steam.
