It is amazing how many options and shades and brands that are available to us now. There was a time where drugstore products were frowned upon and only seen as an option when you couldn’t afford the real thing.
I personally think that the only key difference between the two is the price. Both products do the same thing and for the most part, get the job done. The truth is: not all high-end makeup is worth emptying your whole wallet for. In fact, some drugstore products are just as good as high-end makeup for a fraction of the price. While high-end makeup tends to be better, there are some drugstore makeup products that are as great as some high-end makeup.
Where is it sold?
High end products are sold at higher end beauty stores, such as Sephora or Ulta. There are certain brands that you can’t even get at Ulta and that are only sold at Sephora.
Drugstore products are only sold at drugstores, such as Walgreens, CVS, Target, etc. However, there are lower end brands that are sold at Ulta as well.
Quality over Quantity?
Obviously, some products are better quality than others, which means the price will also be higher. However, there are some drugstore products that I prefer to use over some luxury ones. My favorite mascara of all time, Loreal telescopic is a drugstore product. I personally think drugstore mascara is better than luxury brand ones.
