As the Alabama football season approaches, the excitement in the air becomes visible. Crimson Tide fans eagerly anticipate each game, ready to support their team with unwavering enthusiasm (and a great outfit). On gameday, the typical girls’ attire is a vibrant display of the team spirit and southern style UA possesses. With that being said, the iconic Alabama football game attire is one of the most important aspects in a girl’s closet.. And that’s why we’re here to help.
Alabama’s Colors/Prints/Trends
As most of us know, our school pride stands through crimson and white. Houndstooth patterns, specifically black-and-white houndstooth, have also been associated with UA for some time now. (Fun fact: longtime UA football coach Paul “Bear” Bryant started this trend through his iconic houndstooth fedoras on game day) Trendy items always change, but crimson and white, the classic jersey, and houndstooth prints will always stick around. And cowboy boots, obviously.
Clothing/Accessories
On game day, you are most likely to see a wide display of dresses, skirts, and blouses accompanied by a unique pin display of “Roll Tide” or “ADII Loves the Tide”. You learn very quickly how important game day really is to a girl. Some of you may find yourselves spending hours upon hours searching for the perfect outfit, but there is no reason to search so long and hard. In today’s day, being unique/different is cool, and your outfit is more likely to stand out if it stomps the traditional ruffle skirt and silk cowl neck top.
Tips/Advice
My advice to you is to not make yourself so uncomfortable trying to look cute. Because at the end of the day, you will be miserable walking around barefoot with 6-inch booties in hand. There are plenty of stylish and comfortable shoe options that are also very affordable. College is stressful, classes are long, and sometimes we don’t have a lot of time to shop/put together outfits. Some online boutiques may be unreliable whether it be shipping times, prices, or out-of-stock availability.
