What are you doing for Halloween?

As Halloween quickly approaches, we are all scrambling to find ourselves a costume and make a set plan. Are we gonna go out? Stay in and watch scary movies? Throw a Party?

As a college student, Halloween can be a stressful time of year. We all know October is when all midterms start to take off, grades start to flow in, projects start. Overall were all a little overstressed.

But! Stress is no reason to not allow yourself to take a break and have some fun. Throwing a Halloween party with your close friends, or even a big group, is a great way to get your mind off school and the stress of the semester.

So, if a Halloween party sounds appealing to you, I am here to give you all the tips and tricks you need to throw the best one possible!

THE TIPS

  • Pick Out your Costume!!

As the host of a rocking Halloween party, you need to be sure your costume matches the energy. Halloween is all about being able to pretend you are someone else for a night, so take advantage. But, if you are pressed for time, here’s and article to help you come up with that last minute costume!

  • Put up your Decor!!

If I showed up to a Halloween party and the décor was subpar, I would be a tad disappointed. Luckily, in the age of all things amazon, you can get awesome décor straight to your door super quick! Here’s a few links to get the décor inspo flowing

  • Can’t forget the drinks!!

When I say here for the BOOs, I mean it. Throwing a Halloween party for your friends is the perfect excuse to try all of the adorable Halloween inspired cocktails you can find on Pinterest. Here’s some examples:

Poison Apple Martini:

  • 1oz Vodka
  • 1oz apple liquor
  • 1oz lime juice
  • 1oz simple syrup
  • ¼green edible sparkles

Bound to make the cutest bright green drink ever. If you love apple flavor, this drink is for you! And super easy to make

Pumpkin Pie Punch:

  • 1 apple, sliced
  • 1 15oz can of pumpkin
  • Cool whip
  • 1 tsp Pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ gallon Apple Cider
  • 12oz cream soda
  • 1 cup Vodka or alcohol of choice.

Perfect for a big group! Make a batch of this punch for you and all your guests. Who doesn’t love some pumpkin flavor in the fall. (Vodka can be left out if you don’t drink for a delicious mocktail)
