Being the Kim Kardashian of the family isn’t an easy job, but it’s a role I take seriously. This includes planning the cutest holiday outfits for family gatherings. I am the black sheep, so I like to make sure the topic of conversation stays on my outfits and not my dating history!
For holiday outfits this year, you have a dress code in terms of color schemes. They are as follows:
- Jewel Tones
- Baby Blue
- White
- Black
- Delicate Pinks
These colors are always, crowd pleasers, trending, and have an air of elegance to them. Most fashion holiday trends follow these schemes, but occasionally you’ll see some sequins and rhinestones. (Which I love; so go glitzy if you wanna because I probably will)
In terms of materials for Holiday Outfits:
- Silk
- Satin
- Tweed
- Suede
- Furs
These fabrics are trending all over. Highly recommend looking into outfits with these fabrics, as like I said before, they emit an air of sophistication. If your outfit is good enough, maybe your aunt will stop asking when you’ll finally get a boyfriend.
For Church, Mass, Religious affiliated events, etc, modesty is typically the norm, but you can always be fashionably modest!
Look for long dresses or coats, layer them, and add some stockings or tights. I love tunic sweater dresses, not body-con, with a high neck and then some cute tights and shoes! There’s the option of layering a sweater vest over a skirt, a long-sleeve top, and tights and heels. It’s modest and practical, but so trendy! I plan my holiday outfits for family gatherings or church using this layering rule of thumb.
For society gatherings, friend’s holiday parties, or fun dinner parties, bring out the fashionable more risky statement pieces!
This is when I drag out my fur coats and satin minis. This is when you can bring out your revolve sequin dress that turns everyone’s heads. For Love and Lemons, I have found the cutest statement dresses ever, sitting in my cart as we speak. Holiday Glam is my favorite!
For the babes who need a cute fit for Aspen, Lake Tahoe, or another winter destination, there’s a variety of snow apparel that is fashionable and less clunky (Rip my old snowsuit). Moonboots are my favorite (I don’t care who thinks they are cheugy), Rhinestone or colored ski goggles are sold in a variety on amazon and DollsKill. Free People, Aerie, North Face, Fashion Nova, Lululemon, and Alo have come out with stupid cute sets to hit the slopes in. There is tons of inspo on Tiktok and Pinterest as well.Â
