How To Stay On Track On Vacation

Share

It’s spring break season and we all need a bit of a break from our diets and workout routines. Counting calories and tracking exercise while all our friends are on the beach can be frustrating and damaging to our mental health, let’s take a break and practice some self-indulgence for at least one week of the year. We’ve been good all year and now we’re ready for some margaritas and sunshine.

Enjoy bottomless mimosas at a beach-themed brunch or a nice steak and tiramisu for dessert. Eat light meals for two of your three food times so you can you still be on track. If you want to fully indulge, delete your meal tracker altogether and eat like a queen for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Make sure to enjoy yourself and the local cuisine.

Take a sunrise (or sunset if you’re not a morning person) stroll on the beach to close those rings. Take a look at any local workouts like outdoor yoga classes, cycling classes or rent a bike for the door and explore the town. Even if you just want to stick to your vacation plans and not stray off the path, you’ll probably hit your step goal anyway through daily movement. [/ohio_text]

Practice some mindfulness and pull out a good book or magazine to center yourself and practice self-care. Vacations can get stressful when people don’t have a solid plan it’s good to have a way to escape and take a breather from anything stressful.[/ohio_text]
