Let’s Talk SPF

Today we are going to cover SPF in two price ranges; low priced and high priced! Let dive in to the two and discuss the difference.

$12 – Supergoop Play Everyday Lotion SPF 50

The main difference in sunscreen products that differ in prices is the is the way it’s going to affect the skin. While this sunscreen contains most of the ingredients that the others do, it’s the oils you must pay attention to. This product sits at a lower price point due to its pore-clogging oils and a masking fragrance. Is it going to protect your skin just as well? Yes. But depending on skin type, it is going to feel different and heavier sitting on the skin.

$105 – La Mer’s Broad Spectrum SPF 50 UV Protecting Fluid

While both are intended for face/body use and supply the same amount of protection, there are some subtle difference you might want to consider when deciding how much to spend on a SPF. This product has a smoother base and is much more moisturizing for this skin. Meaning most days this product could double as a moisturizer and protection. In contrast to cheaper options, a high priced sunscreen will also be lighter weight while still managing to draw moister from within your skins protective barrier.
