Hi Girls! As you may know, it is always date party season and sometimes it can be hard to match your makeup with the selected theme. Normally, all date parties here at The University of Alabama have a unique theme depending on the time of year and location. Some themes are cocktail, ski lodge, “champagne and shackles”, togas or formal.
This week, Bailey attended a “denim” themed date party and matched her makeup look to her outfit and it looked amazing.
There are only a few steps to looking and feeling beautiful!
This week we are going to give you 5 easy makeup tips for the perfect date party look!
- Don’t do too much. You might think it’s a good idea to lather on makeup to look good and impress your date, but it probably isn’t the best idea. If he asked YOU to the date party, it’s for a reason. You don’t need to try and look like someone you’re not.
- Match your eyes with your outfit. You can always match your eyeshadow to the color of your outfit. If you’re wearing blue for example, throw on some blue eyeshadow or eyeliner to make your eyes pop!
- Wear fake eyelashes if accessible. You are most likely going to want to take pictures with your dad. I find that fake eyelashes make a huge difference in pictures.
- Use powder so you aren’t too oily. Powder is the key to covering oily skin. You definitely dont want to look greasy
- Touch-up your makeup discreetly. I find that it is always smart to bring a few makeup items in a small purse to a date party, or any event. Lipgloss is essential, but throwing in some powder or bronzer is also smart.
