Nashville Hot Chicken Sliders are a fiery, flavor-packed twist on classic comfort food. What You Need

1 tbsp garlic powder

1 tsp kosher salt

1/2 tsp ground black pepper

1 cup buttermilk

1 tbsp onion powder

4 tbsp butter

1 tbsp Nashville Hot Dry Seasoning

2 chicken breasts, 2.25 lbs each

12-pack KING’S HAWAIIAN Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls

4 tbsp mayonnaise

24 pickle chips

1 cup Panko breadcrumbs

1 cup cornstarch

1 cup cornmeal

3 cups Canola oil for frying

1 bottle Nashville Hot Sauce

12 skewers

Directions

For the Seasoned Flour:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together all the flour ingredients. Pour into a brown paper bag.

For the Chicken:
2. In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk and hot sauce. Add chicken, submerge, and refrigerate for 4 hours.

  1. Remove chicken from buttermilk, shake off excess, and place in the flour bag. Shake to coat, tap off excess, and let the chicken rest on a wire rack for 15 minutes.

To Fry the Chicken:
4. Heat oil in a cast-iron skillet to 340°F.

  1. Fry chicken for 14-16 minutes, until golden and cooked through (165°F). Reserve frying oil.

For the Sauce:
6. Whisk cayenne, brown sugar, paprika, chili powder, and garlic powder. Gradually add reserved frying oil to make a paste. Brush over the fried chicken.

To Assemble the Sliders:
7. Slice KING’S HAWAIIAN rolls, spread mayonnaise, add pickles, and place the chicken inside.

  1. Serve hot and enjoy!
