Throughout her time on the show, Jenn was a part of multiple group dates and had a very cute surfing one-on-one date. Jenn ended up making it to the final 6 and admitting that she was falling for Joey. However, she was ultimately sent home on Week 7 of the show, right before hometown week, with fellow contestant Kelsey T. Despite Jenn appearing sad during her departure, it does seem that her and Joey left their relationship on good terms as while leaving she stated that she hopes to find someone “as special as him one day”. Later on, Jenn attended the Women Tell All special on March 18th where she received a hot seat with host Jesse Palmer. During this session, she discussed her relationship with Joey, her heartbreak after being sent home, how the show helped strengthen her relationship with her family, and how she is now excited and feels “more than ever ready to find [her] person”. The next week on March 25th Jenn came back to attend the live finale of this Bachelor season, the big night of the final rose, where she was finally announced as the new Bachelorette at the end of the episode. This moment came as a shock to many of the attendees and viewers watching at home as many expected other contestants to take the slot, notably Daisy or Maria. Despite this shock, many members of Bachelor Nation are excited to see what her season will bring and to watch her love story unfold. Jenn is also making history as the first Asian lead on either the Bachelor or Bachelorette franchise. Jenn happily acknowledged this title on the Bachelor finale night, stating that she is so honored and grateful for the role, happy that she can be the Asian representation that she so desperately wanted to see on her television screen as a child.
