HAPPY FRIDAY REALITY TV CONNOISSEURS! This week was a whirlwind, to say the least… I mean HOW is it ONLY Friday?! I think I have truly lived several lives these past few days, and I think our Bachelor Joey can say the same thing. This week probably took several years off his life, but in my opinion, I’m okay with that because I could NOT keep my eyes off the TV (shoutout to you Bachelor producers! You really deserve a raise after this season). Let me not bore you with any more of my rambling, and let’s get on with the recap of The Bachelor Season 28 Episode 7!
Joey and his lovely group of SIX women have traveled to Jasper in Alberta, Canada for this week! We get a nice little montage of Joey on yet another motorcycle, and I could not help but think he looks exactly like Michael Scott when he was on that segway. Joey tells the cameras that he is hoping to gain clarity throughout this week!
Jesse and Joey play a cute game of tennis, and they discuss his feelings for the week ahead. He is ready to dive into deep conversations to gain confidence before heading into hometowns. Meanwhile, I’m here *LITERALLY* on my hands and knees begging Joey through the screen to give Daisy a one-on-one date!
The Bachelor franchise angels heard my cries and Daisy gets the FIRST second one-on-one of the season! Joey is eager to hang with my girl Daisy to see if she will express how she feels about him.
As you have probably noticed every girl has said something like “I’m falling in love with you,” but Daisy has not. She kinda makes me nervous as she says that she needs to see how today goes to figure out her feelings.
Joey plans a cute date for them that looks like it will be the next Hallmark Christmas movie! They go ride horses on some trails, and he gives her his Barbour jacket. AND LEMME TELL YOU RN THAT MAN LOOKS SO PERFECT IN THAT JACKET!!!
From being a seasoned Bachelor watcher, I know that the producers LOVE to put a hot tub in the middle of absolutely nowhere, and that is exactly what they did!
Daisy tells Joey she is excited about the possibility of bringing him home (eeeekkkk!!). In her confessional, she says that she is not in love with Joey.. YET but she absolutely can see a future with him.
DAISY for PRESIDENT with that statement! She is so normal, and it’s so refreshing! She is taking things slow, and letting herself really take this whole experience at her own pace! Let’s normalize not falling in love in four weeks, ladies!
Daisy tells Joey at the dinner part of their date that she can see herself falling in love with him, and this poor man looks like someone just kicked his puppy. He does tell her though that he appreciates her honesty, and just wants to make sure that she feels confident in him meeting her family. She tells him that she does, but she also knows her family will have some big questions because of her journey with her health. He says that he can make a case to her family that he will be there “in sickness and in health,” and our queen Daisy gets the rose!!
The group date is next! Which is not even a group date because it’s just Joey and four ladies: Maria, Rachel, Kelsey T., and Jenn. The date is at a lumber farm where they learn how to saw logs, throw axes, and split wood. Maria is being so real during this and letting everyone know she doesn’t do the outdoors (It’s giving Meredith Blake).
All this practice leads to a LumberJill competition. Rachel slays the date, and chugs drinks the elk milk even though she is allergic to milk protein. Even though she wins the first round, Kelsey T. comes in to win the whole thing.
Joey is in the middle of a post-LumberJill competition confessional, and Jenn walks up and gives him a kiss in front of all the other girls. Maria makes a comment about how Jenn apparently doesn’t realize she has an axe, and I immediately realize that Maria is EVERY SINGLE GIRL WATCHING THIS EPISODE.
Each girl sits down with Joey after the group date and lets him know how they feel. Jenn was upset she did not get a one-on-one, Kelsey T. let’s him know that her dad doesn’t know that she is on the show, and Maria shocks us all!
Maria begins to spiral about Joey liking and feeling things for other girls. He tries to talk with her, but she isn’t hearing it. He asks her basically if she’s done and if her mind is made up, and she says “I think it is.” (Spoiler alert: ITS NOT)
She leaves and cries saying that she doesn’t like that he’s not just hers…. Babe? Did you NOT realize that you VOLUNTARILY signed up for The Bachelor?!
This makes Joey have some reservations because he wants someone who’s all in.
He sits down with all the girls on the group date and tells them that he cannot give out a rose tonight (good thinking, Joey! Keep ‘em on their toes).
Now, we are at the final one-on-one date of the season! Kelsey A, its your time to shine! They go to explore the city and end up meeting a “typical Canadian” who tells them about the Polar Bear Plunge! Kelsey A is beaming with excitement, but Joey is looking like *WTFFF***!!!
They jump in the freezing water (it’s actually 32 degrees), and Joey is like GET ME OUT OF HEREEE! They go warm up on the sauna and talk about the possible hometown date. Kelsey A opens up to Joey and says that she is worried that Joey won’t be 100% certain who he wants to pick in the end. He casts away her worries and says he wouldn’t propose to anyone unless he had “zero doubts.” Kelsey gets the date rose, and she is taking him to NOLA!
It’s cocktail party time! Or is it?? Okay, yeah so it’s not! Jesse Palmer tells the girls there will not be a cocktail party tonight- just a Rose Ceremony.
They enter the Rose Ceremony, and Joey asks to speak with Maria. The girls without the safety of a rose are PISSED. Joey tells Maria that he likes her, but wants to make sure that wants to still be there for him. Of course, she says yes! You’d have to pick me up off the floor to make me leave that man!
Maria and Rachel get the final two roses which means it’s the end to Jenn and Kelsey T’s journey.
Wow! That’s all I have to say! Can y’all believe Hometowns is next week?! I mean this season has truly flown by, and I’m loving every second! Joey is exactly the redemption that The Bachelor Franchise needed! TTYL:) MUAH <3
Reality Wrap-Up: Bravo TV Big Moments This Week PART II.
The latest episode of Vanderpump Rules was a rollercoaster of emotions to say the least! There was drama with the SUR staff per usual, but the highlight was definitely the unexpected twist with one of the relationships. Plus, Lisa Vanderpump’s guidance to the crew added that touch of wisdom and sass we ALL LOVE!
Lisa invited Tom Scwartz and the group members to Lake Tahoe for the weekend. However, before they go, Lisa has a conversation with the cast about Sandoval coming. Although NO ONE is too enthused with him coming along for the trip- Lisa mentions that they need to be easier on him and cut him some slack…This made everyone confused because LISA HAVE YOU FORGOT WHAT HE’S DONE TO ARIANA? However, Lisa confides in the group about mental health and how immensely important it is. She mentions to the group that Sandavol has recently been struggling with his own and at the end of the day “He’s family. We need to be there for him.” Says Lisa Vanderepump. This was super surprising but I think we can all agree that after a year of chaos and hatred- HE deserves a break. We’re all human, we all make mistakes. ESPECIALLY THE SUR CREW!
While most of the group agrees- Obviously Ariana and Katie do not. They both are not ready to forgive either Tom Sandavol or Schwartz and do not want to be associated with either of them. Katie and Ariana decide that while the group goes on a trip they’re going to stay back in LA and focus on Something About Her. A cocktail/sandwich shop they’re looking forward to opening soon…..
As the group comes to an agreement they head to Lake Tahoe! In one of the first interactions of the weekend we come across an emotional moment by Tom Sandavol. He approaches the group at the airport and they welcome and greet him for the very first time in a year… This moment was bittersweet for Sandavol as for the first time in a long time he was accepted.
The weeknd goes on and the group participates in games and challenges that help break the ice a bit! The challenges and games allow the group to drop drama and reconnect as one again! The games bring them together and even force them to work together. Although this group has a lot of catfights, they surprisingly had a wonderful time and worked together. After the games and challenges the group headed to dinner with Lisa Vanderoump where they talked about the day and how much they enjoyed it.
Tom Sandavol pules James aside after dinner FINALLY admitting to his faults and past mistakes. James respectfully accepts his apology and assures him that even though they are “good” -it’s going to take some time for things to ever be “normal again”.
Tom surprisingly understands and assures him to take his time or however long to heal and forgive him.Tom Sandavol thanks the group for allowing him to participate in such an important week despite past drama and circumstances. The group ends the weekend on a positive note and so far, so good…- Sandavol is making his comeback.
As the group returns home from a fun and fabulous weekend Schena takes some time to reflect. She feels stuck in the middle of wanting to be Ariana’s friend, but still wanting to forgive and be there for Tom Sandavol. She feels that no matter what she’s in a lose-lose situation.
Everyone is EAGER to see how this one plays out…. We know Sandavol can be manipulative, but we also know Ariana would NOT be happy with Schena even considering their friendship again. She tells her husband Brock she feels stuck and doesn’t know how to approach the situation with Ariana.
UH OH…..I have a feeling this isn’t going to work out pretty, BUT WE WILL HAVE TO SEE! Stay tuned for another DRAMATIC episode recap NEXT WEEK!
