TwitchTalks was live again this week with two questions posed to students at UA. The first question was, “What is your most unforgettable Wine Wednesday story?”
Wine Wednesday stories
The first response that was received was, “Don’t remember any of them.” Fair enough honestly. You probably had fun though, we hope at least. “Spilling wine all over myself in front of everyone.” This is embarrassing at the time. Everyone has spilled a few drinks on their selves, however. Most people have felt your pain on this one. “Ripping my pants.” Just a rough night on that one.
“Getting in a fight with the bear trap bouncer,” was also submitted. Hopefully, you did not go to Bear Trap soon after this. I don’t think he would be too happy to see you after this encounter.
“We walked to wine Wednesday during a tornado warning only to find that they were out of wine, but we had committed to being drunk and I spent close to 200 dollars.” I respect the commitment on this one.
The next question posed to students was, “What is your most expensive bar tab story?”
Most Expensive bar tab stories
“I was destroyed, and It was this kid I barely knew from freshman year’s birthday, so I bought him 50 shots at sideline.” 50 shots? This kid must have been destroyed after that. Sounds like a great time though.
“$180 dollars from day drinking at Innisfree. Bought too many car bombs.” Car bombs have gotten a lot of people. Don’t let it get to you.
“21st birthday ran it up at Gallettes.” As you should. Respect.
”Spent $150 dollars at bear trap because a friend was black out and asked if I had $20 in cash to finish paying his tab and I only had my card so I told him to just use my card, turned back around only to hear arguing from him and that bartender because his name wasn’t on the card and she looks at me and she was like you realize you just paid his entire tab and I was like okay that’s fine thinking it was $45 max but it was $120 and I didn’t want to be rude and not tip on a high tab so I spent $150 and he never paid me back.” The true definition of a real one right here. Just giving the card in the first place is a real move. Then not getting paid back for a ridiculous tab and giving a good tip? Definition of a great person and good friend here.
“I spent 450 dollars the weekend my brother and his roommate came to town. The best part was that my parents were not mad only because my brother was in town.” Sounds like a perfect weekend then. No one got mad and a great time sounds like it was had.
“Some kids spent like 600 on me and my friends.” Now, this is a great weekend and time. Getting 600 dollars’ worth of drinks for free? This sounds perfect.
“Fun fact- I’ve never bought my own drinks.” Must be nice.
“I pregame before the bars, #brokegirl.” Absolutely respectable decision as the bar prices for drinks has gotten slightly ridiculous. I mean who wants to pay five dollars for a shot.
