Sunday Reset In A UA College Students Life

Share

Finding balance in a long week can seem overwhelming. It is important to take a couple hours out of your day to reset and prepare for the upcoming days and week. Having a reset day is something we look forward to every week. Normally, we pick Sundays to beour reset days but you can choose any day that works into your schedule. Reset days can be anything you want it to be. In this post, we are going to walk you through our Sunday reset. The first thing that starts off my Sunday reset is a long walk, walking after the weekend and a stressful week is a great way to start off your day. It helps eliminate stress and gives you a moment to clear your mind. You can either walk alone or encourage a friend to go with you, if you choose to go alone putting on a podcast is one of the best things to listen to when clearing your mind. Currently, we are loving Emma Chamberlin’s podcast but there are so many amazing ones on Apple Music and Spotify. After walking, I love to come home and light my favorite candles. Currently I am loving all the fall scents that you can get at HomeGoods. Taking a hot shower is a must then putting on your favorite comfy clothes, this is the best way to get cozy for the rest of your reset day. After we have taking care of everything for our mental health, the next order of business is cleaning up our space. Doing a deep clean is one of the best ways to prepare of the upcoming days and week that you have ahead of you. Starting off the week with a clean space increased productivity and just makes you feel overall way more put together! Doing a deep clean can include whatever you desire but we love to vacuum, swifter, do the dishes, clean the counter tops and of course just take care of main housekeeping in our rooms and homes. Once that’s all done,we move onto doing the small things that make us happy. Which includes making a yummy dinner, turning on our favorite TV shows and then making a yummy desert to end off the night. Our current desert of choice to make is Brownies, who doesn’t love those? After we have un-winded for the night it’s time to turn in for the evening. Reading a book before bed is something we’ve been loving to do at the end of our days. Right now, we are reading the new Colleen Hoover, It Starts with Us. You must check out the book if you haven’t yet, any of her books are amazing and we highly recommend. Creating a routine that helps you reset at the end of your weeks, or any day is so important for your mental health. We hope you take some time for you and do the things that you enjoy. Let us know what your favorite ways to unwind are and don’t forget to have a reset day every week!
