The Superbowl: An American tradition celebrating football, spirit, and of course, drinking. This year, the 2023 Superbowl will host an epic match between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs at the State Farm Stadium in Arizona. Aside from the being the biggest NFL game of the year, the Superbowl is vastly known for its elaborate advertisements and sponsorships. Each year, companies spend thousands to millions of dollars on advertisements during the Superbowl. This year, we’re focusing on the top competing alcohol brands consisting of Bud Light, Heineken, Michelob Ultra, Coors, Budweiser, and Crown Royal. This year, Bud Light featured Miles Teller dancing around with his wife enjoying a few brews in their commercial. Crown Royal will also be featuring Dave Grohl from the Foofighters in their commercial, which will be released during the game. Heineken took an aim with their non-alcoholic line are beer in partnership with Paul Rudd promoting the second “Ant-Man” movie in the Marvel series. These sponsored commercials never fail to give us a good laugh and smile with the broad humor and nostalgic moments — We can’t wait to see what the other sponsors have in store for us to see!

With all the alcohol promotions, what do we recommend you drink at your upcoming Superbowl party? Heineken branched out with their new product line of non-alcoholic beer– An excellent choice for those who don’t enjoy alcohol, or even youngsters that want to feel included. This new line from Heineken is a great alternative after having one too many beers at your Superbowl party! Bud Light, on the other hand, consistently advertises for their staple beer. However, an underrated product and personal favorite is their Hard Soda Seltzers. With a variety of flavors such as cola, orange, citrus, and cherry cola, this a great option for those who enjoy an easy alternative to vodka-based mixed drink. For those that simply enjoy Bud Light, pour it into a few Solo cups and have yourself a zesty round of rage cage while watching the game! Personally, we have a few favorites. For our beer lovers, you can never go wrong with a Corona or Michelob with lime, Blue Moon with an orange, or even a Corona Sunrise – Perfect to pair with those game day snacks! For the mixed-drink lovers, Crown Royal and sour is a personal favorite party drink (I highly recommend the peach flavor). For those feeling extra wild, we highly recommend a cosmo made with Natural Light’s new line of lemonade-infused vodka. All of these are great options for the most highly celebrated NFL game of the year and we surely will be trying each and every option.
