The Veganish Market: Smoothie Bliss or Just Hype?

Share

Kate and Logan had been hearing nothing but positive things about the Veganish Market, particularly the buzz surrounding their smoothies. They wanted to see it for themselves, so they made the decision to stop by immediately after class. Their excitement was visible as soon as they entered. We were immediately put at ease by the lively and friendly atmosphere. We were welcomed with smiles by the staff, who encouraged us to look over the menu, which featured appealing choices like the Tropical Paradise Smoothie, Palm Springs Smoothie, and Flamingo Smoothie. However, after some consideration, both Logan and Kate decided on the Vibe Smoothie. The mix of strawberry, avocado, agave, vanilla, soy milk, coconut cream, and strawberry purée in this smoothie was sweet and looked to be both delicious and refreshing. We were excited when the girl brought out our smoothies, but our excitement soon gave way to disappointment. Kate’s smoothie had a little strange appearance; it had obviously been taken out of the refrigerator. Logan’s, on the other hand, was fresh and new. When Kate understood the difference, her expression slumped, and we looked at each other with alarm. Approaching the counter, Kate respectfully asked for a remake, unwilling to accept anything less than perfection. We wanted to make the most of our sweets as we had spent quite a bit on them. The employees were sympathetic and agreed to make Kate a new Vibe Smoothie. Their enthusiasm remained unchanged in spite of the setback. The new smoothie was as tasty and colorful as they had imagined when it arrived. We toasted our cups, eager to taste the flavors and take in the positive energy that the Veganish Market had promised. We will now talk about our ratings on taste, presentation, price vs quality and fragrance.

Both Kate and Logan immediately stepped in to rate their smoothies. Both agreed on a rating of three for taste. They thought the smoothies lacked the deep, fulfilling flavor that makes a smoothie great and were a little too liquidly. They were a little disappointed since it appeared like something was lacking. We were far more impressed with the presentation. We both rated it a 1, pointing out that the ombre white swirls and vivid pink color made it aesthetically pleasing and welcoming. We were certainly drawn to it! When comparing price vs quality, we came up with a score of 4. The smoothies were tasty, but we thought the cost was too much for the quality. We talked about how we had previously enjoyed better tastes and greater amounts at similar prices at other smoothie shops, such as Tropical Smoothie. Finally, for fragrance, we settled on a rating of 2. The aroma was pleasant, with Logan even noting that it reminded her of the Danimals yogurt they used to enjoy as kids—nostalgia can definitely add to the experience! Overall, we acknowledged that the Veganish Market wouldn’t be their preferred location even if they liked their smoothies and the atmosphere there. We thought the pricing was excessive for the amount and quality of the smoothie they got, but we would still swing by if they were in the area and had a need.
