Since summer is coming up, we thought it would be nice to cover the best theme parks in America.
Disney World in Florida is known for being the better theme park. Disney World is not just one theme park. You could spend an entire day there and still not see everything. These parks are always changing, there are new rides added every year.This world-famous Resort consists of four Theme Parks (Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park), two Water Parks (Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park), over 25 Resort hotel properties, and a variety of additional entertainment offerings. One-day, one-park tickets start at $109, depending on the date and the theme park. This is more expensive than other theme parks you could go to, but it is an experience. At Disney World you can also spend the night at their resort. Going to Disney World would be a great trip for the family, there is something for everyone.
Here in Alabama we have a great theme park that I suggest everyone try out. Owa is the newest theme park on this list, but it is great. This theme park has the typical theme park with rides, but it also has an indoor waterpark. If you don’t want to go on any rides, there is Downtown Owa. Downtown Owa has shops, restaurants, and a theater. There is always something to do at Owa. This is also a theme park that is constantly changing, they are always adding something new to catch people’s attention. This park is also just minutes away from the Gulf Coast Beaches. Owa also has a resort just like Disney, with the Marriott TownePlace Suites you can wake up on the property and jump into a fun packed day. A new addition is the Tropic Hideaway RV Resort. The 190-lot luxury RV resort features amenities like pickleball courts, pool and clubhouse, all with a tropical, island atmosphere. With Downtown OWA’s dining, shopping & entertainment plus award-winning accommodations, OWA Parks & Resort is the place in Coastal Alabama to thrill, then chill. Compared to Disney, a one day tropical falls theme park general admission is $24.99. There is always something to do with the whole family.
Six Flags is a theme park that has something for everyone. With many locations around the US it is not difficult to go out and have some fun with the family. At this park there are always events happening, you’ll never get bored at Six Flags. If you are a fan of roller coasters, Six Flags is for you. They have the most legendary roller coaster rides that you won’t want to miss out on. There are thrill rides, water rides, family rides and more. Like most theme parks, Six Flags had some of the best food. Checking out the food is all about the adventure of a theme park. You don’t have to ride roller coasters at theme parks, there is always so much more. Six Flags is a great place for entertainment. Theme areas are popular at Six Flags like Boardwalk, Frontier Adventures, Fantasy Forest, and Movietown. A one-day admission to Six Flags is $34.99, although some prices may vary per location and time of year. Six Flags has some great deals for summer passes and what’s called a “Thrill Seeker Pass.” This ticket gives you access to Six Flags America and Northeast Theme parks on certain dates. The thrill seeker pass is for all of those who love rides around the park.
One theme park that I kept hearing when asking friends about theme parks was Dollywood. Located in Tennessee and owned by Dolly Parton, this theme park is ranked as one of the best theme parks in the country. There are many fun-family oriented activities around the park. Dollywood is a southern-style theme park, with thrill rides and water rides. In 2021 Dollywood was named as “America’s Most Beautiful Park.” With resorts, dinner events, spas, theme parks and water parks there is something for everyone. Prices range for this park, they offer 1-day, 2-day, and 3-day tickets, but they also offer season passes.
This summer if you are looking for something to do with the family, theme parks are always a great source of entertainment. Spend the day with the family trying all the rides and food of a theme park near you.
