Delicious Discoveries at Applebee’s: A Night of Apps and Spooky Drinks!

Share

This week, Logan and Kate decided to check out Applebee’s, and let me tell you, we were blown away! As first-timers, we didn’t know what to expect, but we walked in eager and excited. Right away, we were greeted with warm smiles and told we could choose any seat. We opted for a cozy booth, which set the tone for a fantastic evening. Our server was absolutely delightful, genuinely enthusiastic about helping us navigate the menu. Since we mentioned we were newcomers, she excitedly recommended some of the best deals and must-try items. Naturally, we couldn’t resist starting off with the much-talked-about $1 Spooky Halloween Margaritas that we’d seen all over TikTok. These margaritas tasted amazing, more like a fruity capri sun than booze! They were an amazing pale blue color! A gummy candy that had absorbed the flavors was also included. We quickly consumed them and made the decision to share a bucket version, which was entertaining in addition to being a great souvenir to bring back home. The menu had a ton of delicious choices for appetizers, but we ultimately decided on the mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce and the spinach and artichoke dip. Both were better than we could have imagined for such a laid-back restaurant like Applebee’s. We also made use of their exclusive offer, which was two dinners for $28 plus an appetizer. Everything about our experience at Applebee’s was great, from the meal to the service. Dessert had to wait until our next visit because we were so full by the end of our meal! We’re excited to talk more about our entrees in a later post, but for now, the beverages and apps are highly recommended, especially for their amazing price! Now let’s talk ratings, which I’m sure you can tell the outcome of already!

To kick things off, the mozzarella sticks were a clear fan favorite to start. We rated them a perfect 1 for flavor, with the cheese inside properly melted and the sticks cooked to a golden perfection. It was an even better experience dipped in marinara sauce. We gave the presentation a score of two. They didn’t have the most eye-catching appearance, but they sure looked appetizing enough to eat. We once again rated them a 1 for price vs. quality because the value is unbeatable, especially considering that the appetizer was part of our package. The fragrance of the fried food was so good that it received a score of two. All things considered, we were really happy with these “average” mozzarella sticks. The spinach and artichoke dip came next, and it was really amazing! We gave it a perfect score of one for taste since the balance of creamy dip and salty chips was ideal. Presentation also received a one; there were the perfect quantity of chips to balance out the dip’s flavor without being too much. Once more, we rated it a 1 for price versus quality because the value was unmatched. The fragrance of the dip scored a two, casting a lovely scent around the room. We finished every bit! Finally, we gave our Spooky Halloween Margaritas a score of one. The flavor was similar to the taste of a Capri Sun or fruit punch, and the cheerful blue color enhanced the appeal. At just $1, the price versus quality ratio was unbeatable—a rare find! The fragrance of fruit nicely balanced the whole experience. Overall, we highly recommend Applebee’s if you’re looking for affordable, tasty drinks and appetizers. Stay tuned for next week’s blog, where we’ll dive into the entrees we ordered!
