The most anticipated festival is back for its 26th year! Yes, you heard that right, Coachella first debuted in 1999 with Beck and Rage Against the Machine as headliners.
This year’s festival is scheduled over two weekends with iconic performances, fashion, and guest appearances.
A Showstopping Lineup
Coachella definitely outdid itself with the lineup this year. Lady Gaga is returning to headline for a second time; she previously performed in 2017 when Beyonce became pregnant.
Gaga is expected to sing tracks from her latest album, which has yet to be released. Post Malone is another artist set to hit the stage.
Post Malone is scheduled to perform on Sunday night. Post has had a huge year. He collaborated with Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and Morgan Wallen.
His song “with Swift titled “Fortnite”” Fortnite ” with Swift went number one for several weeks on the Billboard Top 100. Also, Malone’s collab with Morgan on “I Had Some Help” also peaked at number one and the music video is currently trending at 19 on YouTube.
Another exciting performer bringing her iconic energy is Charli XCX. Charli will be singing club classics from her Grammy Award-winning album “Brat.”
“Brat” is an album that was made to be played at a club or festival, so I’m sure it’s going to be the top set that everyone will wanna be at. Other headliners include Green Day and Travis Scott.
Set Times and Schedule
Thousands of people are traveling to Coachella, so it’s important to know all the times so you don’t miss your favorite artist. On April 18th, Lady Gaga will perform at 11:10 p.m. PST. Gaga is set to perform right after Missy Elliot at 9:00 p.m. Travis Scott will perform at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 20th and Post Malone will headline at 10:25 p.m.
Other performances to note are T Pain, Megan Thee Stallion, Zedd, Benson Boone, and Ed Sheeran. Live Streams are available on YouTube and X, as well as performance set times.
Iconic Performances
Every year, there is always a performance that leaves people talking. Let’s dive into some of the most iconic Coachella performances in Gen Z history.
The first performance and perhaps the best is Beyonce’s set in 2018, also known as “Beychella.” Beyonce’s set was almost two hours long. It was filled with hit after hit and outfits that we still reference today.

Next, Ariana took the stage in 2019 for “AriChella.” She performed hits like 7 Rings, God Is A Woman, and Thank U Next. She also had some pretty cool guest too. Justin Bieber came out to perform his song “Sorry.” It was the first time Justin had performed in over two years.
Sabrina Carpenter’s Coachella Debut
In 2024 Sabrina made her Coachella debut as a performer. She performed her hit songs “Nonsense,” “Feather,” and “Because I Liked A Boy” from her previous album “Emails I Can’t Send.”
Coachella was one of Carpenter’s first solo performances since The Eras Tour.
She even put out a new song called “Espresso” (not sure if you’ve heard of it) to celebrate her first Coachella. Espresso quickly became a hit after its debut at Coachella Weekend One. Carpenter has won numerous prestigious awards, including a Grammy for “Best Pop Solo Performance.”
Zendaya’s Surprise Performance
In 2023 Labrinth headlined in place of Frank Ocean, who had to drop out last minute. Labrinth is known for his hypnotic songs on Euphoria. On weekend one, in 2023, he brought out Billie Eilish to sing “Never Felt So Alone,” which is a duet that collaborated on.
On weekend Two, Zendaya officially came out of pop star retirement and proved to everyone she is that girl. She performed “I’m Tired” and “All For Us” which are both songs from Euphoria. The crowd was so excited to see Zendaya that she could barely hear herself.
Zendaya’s guest performance is a prime example of how you never know who’s gonna hit the Coachella stage.
Festival Fashion
Coachella isn’t just a festival, it’s a full-blown fashion show. Some of the most iconic Coachella fashion baddies include Vannessa Hudgens (OG Coachella Queen), Emma Chamberlin, The Dolan Twins, and Hailey Bieber.
Picking outfits is a full-on sport and I’m here to give you some fashion inspiration for this festival season.
This year, there will be a lot of boho vibes, knee-high boots, and lace. There is also a resurgence of Y2K fashion, so I’m sure that will be popular this year too.
Whether you’re going for a grunge pop look or a Y2K baddie I’m sure you’re going to slay queen.
Conclusion
Just like every year, Coachella will be the subject of conversation for years to come. From legendary performances to fashion. Whether you’re a seasoned festival-goer or a first-time attendee, this year’s event promises memories that will last a lifetime.
