Chicks Picks: NFL Predictions Winner Recap

Monday Night Football: Giants vs. Seahawks

Am I lame to say sack attack because that is genuinely what this game was? An old-fashioned beat down on the New York Giants quarterback, Daniel Jones. Our NFL Predictions Winner, the Seattle Seahawks, recorded 10 sacks and forced a 97-yard pick-six scored by Devon Witherspoon. This stat alone made history for the New York Giants in a horrible way. Witherspoon recorded the second-longest interception return touchdown in Seahawks history. In the Seahawks, 24-3 win against the Giants, Bobby Wagner and Uchenna Nwosu combined for four of the 10 sacks. The Seahawks forced three turnovers, which led to 17 Seahawks points, ultimately killing the Giants’ defense and crushing the offense’s ego. Another ego boost is for the followers of our Twitter account who voted for the Seahawks in our latest poll. Remember to voice your opinion on Monday Night Football, and follow and engage weekly with our polls.

Time heals, or time kills?

The New York Giants had 11 days off after losing to the San Francisco 49ers. At this time, many people assumed that running back Saquon Barkley would have recovered from his ankle injury, but unfortunately for the Giants and their fanbase, he missed his second straight game with this loss. The longer Barkley is missing, the more suspension that will be raised around the severity of his injury. Although the time did nothing for the running back troubles, fans hoped it would have given enough time for the team to regroup and come out stronger than before. Did the New York Giants get too much sleep, or was this just in Giants fashion?

NFL Predictions Recaps:

Well, well, well. Week 4 was a wacky week in the NFL. Fantasy football leagues were destroyed, and my predictions were utterly crushed. I can firmly say I was not the NFL Predictions Winner of last week. Let us start with the Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills. This offense vs. offense thriller was a good one and one that I got completely wrong. With Jaylen Waddle’s return, I pretty much figured it would be one beautiful game for the Dolphins offense. The Buffalo Bills came with full force and showed why they have been a top competing team in the NFL for the last few seasons.

Before we get into the next game, I can confidently say the only people who saw this game being played as hard as it was were the Commanders’ fan base. The Washington Commanders made the Super Bowl runner-ups, the Philadelphia Eagles, go into overtime to narrowly win the game by three points in a 34-31 victory. Although the Eagles came out on the winning side, it was not a pretty one. These two teams meet again on October 29. Will the Commanders be ready and try to take the win, or will the Eagles come out unscathed? Does this mean bad news for the Eagles, good news for the Commanders, or was it just another week in the NFL?

The London showdown proved beneficial for the team that did not have Drake London. The Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Atlanta Falcons 23-7. The Falcons fan base is losing hope in quarterback Desmond Ridder more and more each week. Some top-ranked networks have actually begun picking options around him. What a tough break for the former 2x AAC Offensive Player of the Year. Although others are giving up on Ridder, it seems as though the Falcons organization and head coach, Arthur Smith, are sticking beside the struggling quarterback. Will Ridder adjust and be a quarterback worth saving, or will he be a bust?

I wholeheartedly knew better than going against Alabama greats DeMeco Ryans, Will Anderson Jr., and John Metchie by picking the Steelers. Hooray for the Texans. They got their first win and in a very dominating fashion. Not only was this their first win of the season, but also Ryans’s first win as the head coach of the Houston Texans. I believe that deserves a toast. The success of quarterback C.J. Stroud has not gone unnoticed.

I have to end this section with a victory for myself. The Dallas Cowboys, “America’s Team,” beat the New England Patriots 38-3, led by a massive second quarter, outscoring the Patriots 18-0. We all know things have been rocky since the departure of seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady, but the Cowboys are really on a roll against the Patriots when they are not up against Brady. This win extended their margin of victory by 8 with a 9-1 difference. Have you all tapped out of the Bill Belichick dynasty, or do you think former Alabama quarterback Mac Jones can assist his head coach in the comeback of the century?

Stay Tuned

The Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders show out live tonight. With the Bears being a no-win team, many expect it to be a long night for them, especially considering the high the Commanders must be on due to their fight with the Philadelphia Eagles. How will this all play out tonight? My money is on the Commanders, but as we all know, anything goes in the wacky weeks of the NFL.
