Share

At the 2025 Billboard Women in Music Awards, Meghan Trainor was honored with the Hitmaker Award, celebrating her decade-long impact on pop music with hits like “Made You Look” and “All About That Bass” . However, much of the public discourse following the event centered on her physical transformation rather than her musical achievements.

Addressing Public Focus on Appearance

In response to the attention on her appearance, Meghan took to Instagram on March 31 to share her thoughts. She expressed feeling “honored” by the recognition but also “disheartened” that conversations were more about her body than her music. “I’ve been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me,” she wrote, emphasizing her commitment to personal well-being over public perception.

Incorporating Mounjaro into Her Health Regimen

Trainor revealed that after the birth of her second child, Barry Bruce, in July 2023, she worked with a dietitian, made significant lifestyle changes, and began exercising with a trainer. She also mentioned using Mounjaro (tirzepatide), a medication initially approved for Type 2 diabetes and later for weight management in 2023 . “Yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I’m so glad I did because I feel great,” she shared.

Beyond traditional methods, Meghan has been exploring various wellness trends, including biohacking techniques aimed at slowing the aging process. She mentioned experimenting with NAD supplements and expressed enthusiasm for learning about new health strategies, stating, “I love a doctor explaining stuff to … ” .

Embracing Body Positivity Through Cosmetic Surgery

Trainor also discussed undergoing a breast lift and implants after her pregnancies, referring to the results as giving her the “boobs of my dreams.” She candidly shared, “I look so good … ,” highlighting her journey toward body positivity and self-confidence .

Advocating for Mental Health and Self-Compassion

Emphasizing the importance of mental health, Trainor encouraged others to “be kinder to yourself” and spoke about her own experiences with therapy. She likened mental health maintenance to cleaning a house: “It’s gonna get messy again and then you have to clean it again.”

Shifting the Narrative

Trainor’s openness about her health journey underscores the need to focus on personal growth and achievements rather than solely on physical appearance. As she aptly put it, “Here’s to celebrating talent, growth, … Let’s keep shifting the convo to what … .”

Her story serves as a reminder that health and wellness are multifaceted, encompassing physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
