When Carrie Ann returned for week two, the trio’s dynamic felt complete again. The First Steps of Season 34

The season opener set the tone for the show and viewers were anything but disappointed. We were introduced to a brand new cast of major celebrities being paired with the pros. While everyone a part of the cast is phenomenal this season, there were a few standouts: Robert Irwin with Witney Carson, Danielle Fishel with Pasha Pashkov, and Alix Earle with Val Chmerkovskiy.

Week one brought jaw dropping performances and even some surprises. To officially kick-off the season, Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles and her partner Ezra Sosa performed a salsa to Beyoncé’s “BREAK MY SOUL.” Robert and Witney turned heads and secured themselves one of the highest scores of the night. The judges’ panel praised each pairing of contestants for their commitment and energy they brought to the night.

The energy in the ballroom made it clear it’s going to be a highly competitive season. With so much talent being brought to the floor in week one, fans were eager to see what the rest of the season had in store for the stars.

One-Hit Wonders Take Over the Ballroom in Week Two

Moving into week two, the energy was high and the excitement was through the roof. The theme of the week, “One-Hit Wonders”, brought us dances to iconic songs from artists with a single hit. The night featured outstanding performances, jaw dropping eliminations, and surprises that kept fans on the edge of their seats the entire night.

Kicking off the night was a piece choreographed by Emma Slater to the song “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)” by C+C Music Factory feat. Freedom Williams. Along with that, numbers such as “I like to Move It” by Reel 2 Real feat. the Mad Stuntman and “Lady (Hear Me Tonight)” by Modjo, set a vibrant and fun tone for the night.

Robert Irwin and Witney Carson brought us a captivating tango to the classic “Marcarena” by Los del Río. Their performance was definitely a highlight of the night with their precision and undeniable chemistry. Fans weren’t the only ones thinking their performance was outstanding, the judges gave them the highest score of the evening. On the other hand, Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa’s jive brought flair to the floor. With a number to the song “Maniac” by Michael Sembello, they blew the crowd away with their upbeat moves that you can’t look away from. This exciting dance earned the pair a solid 22 out of 30.

Social media icon Alix Earle brought a jive to the floor that brought a buzz to social media. Her pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy assisted her in bringing a lively energy to the room. To add her own personal touch to the piece, she incorporated her signature “baby freeze” into the number that fans went crazy over. Dancing to “Mambo No. 5” by Lou Bega, Alix had everyone talking about her incredible performance. After an outstanding performance, the duo earned themselves a score of 21 out of 30.

Finishing out the lineup, Danielle Fishel and pro partner Pasha Pashkov delivered an exciting cha-cha to “The Rhythm of the Night” by Corona. The Boy Meets World actress opened up to fans about an injury between rehearsals regarding a hamstring tear. This tear directed her to get a deep tissue massage but unfortunately for Fishel, led to breaking all the blood vessels in her right leg. Despite her injuries, she put her all and nothing less into the performance earning her a score of 19 out of 30.

Baron Davis and Britt Stewart performed a samba to Mark Morrison’s “Return of the Mack” that showcased a lot of enthusiasm but lacked the rhythm and control the dance required. While Davis’s charisma and stage presence was definitely there, his movements were too stiff and his timing occasionally was offbeat. Despite Britt’s attempts to guide him through the number, the duo’s performance fell short in technique, earning them one of the lowest scores of the night.

Corey Feldman and Jenna Johnson’s Cha Cha to “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-A-Lot had plenty of personality but struggled to remain smooth. Feldman’s commitment to entertaining the audience was undeniable and his energy made for an engaging performance. However, the judges emphasized that entertainment alone couldn’t make up for the lack of clean footwork and timing issues throughout the routine.

Double Elimination Leaves Fans Talking

As any competition goes, Dancing with the Stars fans unfortunately had to say goodbye to two duos. While every pair brought their all to the floor and delivered their best numbers, this was still a double elimination round. Tensions were high as two couples were meant to be sent home.

Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Baron and Britt, along with Corey and his partner Jenna. The samba and cha-cha numbers failed to impress the judges, leading to their early exit from the competition.

DWTS week 2 double elimination

Fans took to social media their mixed reactions following the double elimination. Some viewers expressed disappointment, saying they admired Baron’s improvement and hoped he’d have another week to grow. Others felt that both eliminations were fair, noting the level of talent and dedication shown by the remaining contestants.

As the competition continues to heat up, fans can look forward to even more excitement, drama, and show-stopping performances as the season progresses. The chemistry between partners, the storytelling in each number, and the seeing the growth of each dancer week by week are keeping audiences glued to their screens.

Who Will Dance Their Way to the Top Week 3?

As week three approaches, the pressure is on for every couple to step it up and impress both the judges and the viewers. The competition is becoming tighter and every movement counts. For competition as tough as Dancing with the Stars, any small mistake could be the difference between staying in the ballroom or going home. Fans are buzzing online. There is so much controversy about which pairs might rise to the top and who could be in danger of being left behind.

With strong duos like Robert and Witney setting the bar high with their high-scoring tango, and fan-favorites like Jordan and Ezra continuing to energize the ballroom, the stakes are at an ultimate high. The remaining contestants are bringing a mix of talent that fans can’t get enough of. Their determination and personalities out on the dancefloor are easily making this season one to remember.

Dancing with the Stars

Each week promises new themes, fresh choreography, and emotional moments that remind fans why Dancing with the Stars remains a beloved television event after all these years. From heartfelt stories to unexpected dance styles, every performance will bring its own kind of magic to the ballroom.
