Austin City Limits, or ACL as it’s affectionately known, is more than just a music festival. It’s a cultural extravaganza that takes over Zilker Park in Austin, Texas, every year, featuring some of the biggest names in music, art and food. And if you’re a foodie like me, then you’re in for a treat. Here are some of the best vendors that were at ACL Eats this year.
ACL Eats is a food lover’s paradise within the festival grounds. It’s where you can explore a wide array of culinary delights that cater to every palate. From classic comfort food to international flavors, there’s something for everyone. Here’s a taste of what I experienced at ACL Eats:
- Austin’s Pizza: A slice of Austin’s famous pizza was the perfect way to kick off the weekend. The combination of crisp crust and gooey cheese was a fantastic choice for my first meal.
- Burro Grilled Cheese: Who can resist a mouthwatering grilled cheese sandwich? Burro’s creations are cheesy, crispy, and incredibly satisfying.
- Cuantos Tacos: Tacos are a staple in Austin, and Cuantos Tacos certainly lived up to the Texan taco tradition. The flavors and freshness of their tacos were exceptional.
- Happy Chicks: Happy Chicks lived up to its name with its delectable chicken fingers. They were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the sauces offered a perfect complement.
- Home Fries: For a savory side, Home Fries’ loaded fries were the ultimate indulgence. They were generously smothered in toppings and cheese, making for a hearty snack.
- Lambas Indian Kitchen: Lambas Indian Kitchen served up delicious Indian cuisine that was a spicy and aromatic delight.
- RedFin Seafood Kitchen: If you’re a seafood lover, RedFin’s offerings, like their fresh fish tacos, are a must-try. The flavors from the sea were incredibly refreshing.
- Shake Shake: A classic choice that never disappoints, Shake Shake’s cheeseburgers were a hit. They were juicy, flavorful and perfect for satisfying those festival-sized appetites.
- Nervous Charlie’s: Nervous Charlie’s proved to be an amazing bagel place. Their fresh bagels with a variety of toppings were a great breakfast option.
- Steamies Dumplings: When I was in the mood for something savory and comforting, Steamies Dumplings was the go-to spot. Their steamed dumplings were simply the best.
While all of these vendors served up mouthwatering dishes, my absolute favorite was an unexpected delight – watermelon wedges with goat cheese and tajin. The sweet and juicy watermelon paired with the creamy goat cheese and the zesty tajin seasoning was a refreshing and unique combination that left me craving more.
I treated myself to these watermelon wedges after watching showstopping performances by Hozier and Labrinth. After my little treat, I finished the weekend with Odesza and Mumford and Sons. Music, food, and great company – it’s what ACL is all about.

As for the music, some of my favorite artists during the weekend included The Lumineers, Noah Kahan, The 1975, Foo Fighters, Hozier, and Labrinth. The combination of great music and delectable food made my Austin City Limits experience truly unforgettable.
So, if you ever find yourself at ACL, make sure to explore ACL Eats for an adventure that perfectly complements the outstanding music performances. Whether you’re a fan of classic festival fare or international flavors, there’s something to satisfy every craving at Austin City Limits.
